Obviously, Lenovo wanted to create some kind of symbiosis. We like a multimedia gadget that is inspired by the Sony Cyber-Shot camera, which has a cool design and can be suitable for business people. To the positive aspects, we can see the stagnation of metal and steel in the structure.

Warto note that this model will be available for sale in several modifications (Z90, Z90-3, Z90-7). There are versions for the Chinese market, for the whole world, and also depending on certain parameters, this option is available. With a different identity, there may be a difference in the separate size of the display, depending on the volume of the conduit. Also, when purchasing, it is necessary to specify the version and carefully select the characteristics.

Design, body materials, dimensions and size

The smartphone has a stylish, but not very practical design. Retailers in Lenovo tried to make it as similar as possible to the compact “mill”, without compromising functionality and handiness.

The front panel from the glass looks strictly and laconically. It shows the parts of the rear speaker and the front camera lens, as well as three touch buttons. The design is straight-cut, without any rounded elements. The front panel looks nice with the glaze.

Behind the smartphone is covered with a crease. This gives you a premium look, but as long as you don’t use the device, the panel is easy to use on your fingers. Also on the back of the Lenovo Vibe Shot Z90 there is a layer of textured aluminum on which the logo and camera lens are placed.

The frame of the smartphone is metallic, printed in gray, white or red color to choose from. On it, the right-handed one has the action buttons, the locking button, the camera switch and the shutter button.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot Z90 is powered by the eight-core Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset. It consists of a pair of four-core Cortex A53 clusters, which vary in frequencies: 1 and 1.65 GHz, for light and important tasks. It's okay.

Graphics processing is handled by Adreno 405, which cannot be called advanced. Ale and among outsiders, the video core is not listed: 36 thousand in AnTuTu is the average for a smartphone of the same age. All powerful games will run at medium settings.

Memory

The smartphone has 3 GB of low-voltage DDR3 memory installed. This was typical for flagships of that time, but the Lenovo Vibe Shot Z90 was no match for its competitors. Borrowed at the start of almost a second gigabyte, more space in RAM is quickly available, but the abundance of tasks is not negatively indicated.

The internal storage is 32 GB, and the core has about 25 of them. If this is not enough - the memory is expanded using an additional flash drive. It’s good that there are no visions under her, but there are no practical obligations.

Battery

The capacity of the small lithium polymer battery of the Lenovo Vibe Shot Z90 is 3000 mAh. This is a good indicator for a five-inch smartphone, but the autonomy indicators are no more than average. In the non-light-illuminated reading mode, the operating hour reaches 12 years, online video runs for just over 8 years, and the WoT Blitz game discharges the battery in 3.5-4 years. In the cleaning mode, the average result is 2 days of work.

The included charger is supplied with a capacity of up to 1.5 A. The new battery capacity of the Lenovo Vibe Shot Z90 takes approximately 2 years, while the computer requires approximately 5 years.

Lenovo Vibe Shot Z90 is positioned as a camera phone. About this shout yo extraordinary external appearance. However, it is not possible to grasp the great possibilities of these things, the stench does not reach even the most basic cameras.

Two characteristics, the lightness of the optics and the size of the matrix, are completely different. A traditional lens is used, the aperture of which opens up to F/2.2. The sensor is standard with 1.12 micrometer pixels.

The camera turned out to be bad, but not at all ideal. For a smartphone that costs 300 dollars, it’s completely ok, but when compared to a camera phone that costs 400 dollars, you might want more. Insanely, compared to the 13 MP of Chinese phablets for $150, the camera in the Vibe Shot Z90 is much better.

The smartphone is equipped with two slots for SIM cards in MicroSIM format, one radio module. Support for all wider networks is declared, including GSM, UMTS, LTE. 4G operates on channels 1, 3, 7, 8, 20 (FDD) and 40 (TDD). To access the Internet, you need dual-frequency Wi-Fi. As for the camera - it’s really good, but it’s glitchy due to the crappy implementation of the firmware (after the update everything went through). All the criticism about it is not because of the filthy brilliance of the photo, but simply due to the fact that in front of the camera phone they wanted something more stuck through.

Lenovo Vibe Shot is a compact phone that can easily fit in your pocket, which cannot be said about a standard camera. The dimensions of the device are similar to the Lenovo P70, only a little smaller and noticeably thinner: 142×70×7.8 mm. Vaga, Swedish, average for its diagonal - 142 grams.

The smartphone wants to look stylish and unpretentious - pairing black and red colors will go well, for example, with chervy nail polish for girls. The heavily stained back and loose lens of the Lenovo Vibe Shot reminds me of the camera. The smartphone is similar to the Lenovo Vibe X2: in size, shape and black display frame that is easily visible from the body. The frames are narrow, but through the wide margins of the top and bottom, the ratio between the flat screen and the surface of the body is no more than 69.3%. Two additional buttons on the body can be called non-intimidating - releasing the shutter and switching between shooting modes (from "Auto" to "Professional"). In the case of the body you can recognize the atavism from the past decade - an opening for the renovation, a kind of push towards competition with cameras, for which it is more relevant.

But the folded structure turned out to be not so practical, regardless of the hardening of metal and glass. First of all, the dirt on one side of the Lenovo Vibe Shot began to peel off during our two-year test. In other words, the camera lens is very close to the edge of the body, risking periodic removal of the camera's fingers. Thirdly, when you remove the smartphone from the saucepan, it is difficult to identify its front side - as well as the back, it is closed with a crease.

Lenovo Vibe Shot can be purchased in two colors: red and gray.

Screen – 5.0

The display of the smartphone can be called clear - it’s clear, bright and protected from the cracks of Gorilla Glass 3, but at the same time it’s lightly stained. Screen diagonal – 5 inches, separate size – 1920×1080 pixels (Full HD). Their thickness is 441 per inch, which is more than sufficient for a clear image.

The maximum brightness (in the advanced brightness mode) is approximately 530 cd/m2. It’s in stock for reading outside in sleepy weather. At the same time, the minimum brightness was also bright - about 6 cd/m 2, which is comfortable for reading in the dark. Lenovo Vibe Shot is equipped with a light sensor and auto-brightness mode. It quickly reacts to changes in the lighting, but does not require manual adjustments.

In settings you can find a number of image modes. I'll look around, soon, average for an IPS matrix. The robot mode in mittens is, with it the screen begins to show the skin of the mittens. The spoon of gold was the transfer to color. The colors look clearly over-saturated, unnatural, which is not good for looking at the photographs taken.

Camera

Lenovo Vibe Shot is positioned as a camera phone and is also equipped with top-end cameras (16 and 8 MP). In our opinion, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4 still have the same stench, but clearly indicate a high level of competition.

The physical size of the sensor is 1/2.3", the same as the flagship Google Nexus 6P and larger, lower than the LG G4 (1/2.6"). The maximum separate number of photos is 16 megapixels. The camera is equipped with an optical stabilization system, a six-component lens, a triple lens (skin color), laser autofocus and a BSI sensor (from the rear sensor). Honestly, the list of “tricks” is offensive.

If you miss sleeping three times, then, in our opinion, there are no great achievements other than increased effort. The direct light that falls on the subject will not always lead to a good shot. If there is no focusing system, then it works faster, or even better than laser on the LG G4 or LG G3. If you are surprised in general, the cameras resemble the top-end, flagship level, the pictures are clear, and only a little is compromised by the Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4. What we did well was to work at night, during the day, and in gloomy weather. In the end, it is not clear that the photo was taken on a day of hardship. The camera has a high sensitivity to light, and although pictures taken at night cannot be called ideal, they appear to be much sharper than those of competitors. It is better to use the Lenovo Vibe Shot camera in the dark, if you want to keep the light in the photos in the dark and orange color.

The smartphone is equipped with shooting modes, for example, with a long winding (for night shooting) or gluing different frames. The camera can recognize facial expressions and laughs, as well as take panoramas. Obviously, there is an HDR mode, in this case the effect is noticeable - the detail of the darkened areas becomes a highlight. In every case, the difference is a sight to behold. As a rule, the smartphone takes pictures in “Smart” mode, independently selecting the main shooting parameters or turning on HDR. Please be assured that you can switch to “Professional” mode again. Here you can independently adjust all the main parameters:

• white balance
• display (view 1/15 to 1 second)
• ISO (view 100 to 1600)
• autofocus range
• exposure adjustment (from -2 to +2).

The ranges and the amount of adjustment are no longer impressive, especially after the “Professional” mode of the LG G4.

The 8 MP front camera allows you to take private selfies. You can also turn on the panoramic shooting or “Beauty” mode, which works much like on the Huawei P8 Lite - it retouches the skin, or most often to an unnatural level.

As much as there is a problem with video recording, there is nothing unusual about the 4K resolution support system. As always, Full HD video recording (1920x1080 pixels) at 30 frames per second is available on the same camera.

You can see either dual-band Wi-Fi or LTE (Cat. 4). Everything is the same as before: A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and primary Micro-USB 2.0 without OTG, HOST or MHL/Display Port.

Moreover, it is important to support two Micro SIM cards. Moreover, in this case there is no connection with the memory slot, as often happens these days when you have to access between memory and connection.

Multimedia – 3.0

Lenovo Vibe Shot could not please us with the great number of audio video codecs. You can also download 4K and 2K video, TS, FLV or MOV videos, as well as music from FLAC.

Pre-installed video and audio players do not offer many possibilities. For music, the Google Play Music program is standard with a typical set of settings. And the programmer practically does not have any peculiarities, except for blocking the re-watching of the video.

Battery - 3.2

The operating time of the Lenovo Vibe Shot can be called good, and can be compared with the flagship HTC One M9. The thin body of the smartphone was able to accommodate a 2900 mAg battery (much like Huawei Honor 6).

You could play the video at maximum brightness for 7 years (much like Lenovo Vibe X2), the result was slightly better than average. And the Vibe Shot music player mode lasts for about 75 years (approximately the same as Samsung Galaxy S6). One year later, the GeekBench 3 benchmark was 24% charged. When playing games, the smartphone is discharged in an average of 3-4 years. Using a regular charger (5, 1.5 A), the smartphone was charged in about 2 years, which is completely typical.

During the tests, we got a smartphone on the second day in the middle mode.

Productivity – 2.7

Lenovo Vibe Shot (Z90-7) is equipped with a chipset that is a little above average, but it works for all tasks, including powerful games. The smartphone was given 3 GB of RAM, like a flagship.

Lenovo Vibe Shot is equipped with a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor (4 cores at 1.7 GHz plus 4 cores at 1 GHz). It can easily handle common smartphones and play important games. For example, Asphalt 8 or Mortal Combat launch smoothly on the new one and run smoothly, sometimes with little stuttering.

Since there are no synthetic tests, the phone received the following results:

• GeekBench 3 - 2705 points (reduced from 2836)
• in AnTuTu 5.7 - 39828 (very lower than Asus Zenfone 2)
• in 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited - 8079 (a little higher, lower than the average Huawei P8 Lite with 5556 points).

We also checked that the smartphone gets hot in games - it turned out that no. During the first half of the Mortal Combat game, the temperature of the Lenovo Vibe Shot rose to 41 degrees, which is a pleasant display.

Memory – 4.5

The Lenovo Vibe Shot's permanent memory capacity is 32 GB, of which approximately 29 GB is available. The volume is solid, but if you use the device as a camera, you will quickly end up with photographs. For those who like to take a lot of photos and videos, there is a slot for a memory card with a capacity of up to 128 GB. In this case, part of the program can be transferred to it from the memory of the device. The remaining additional memory is often used from another SIM card. However, in this case, the expansion slot in the enclosed tray does not leave you with a choice between a bundle and additional gigabytes.

Features

Lenovo Vibe Shot runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. However, visually there is no overhaul of the Vibe UI interface, and the desktop is almost indistinguishable from the latest version of Android. Setting up your smartphone is a little confusing, for example, the maximum brightness mode is not found in the “Brightness” or “Screen” items, but in the item under the name ... “Color balance”, but you won’t get much of it at all. Features can be called the design of the model with fixed frames and adjacent buttons on the body (shutter release and switching between shooting modes) and, especially, high-quality cameras.

People of the 21st century may have a particular weakness to various hybrids - to unite a number of completely independent speeches into one whole. Moreover, this is absolutely the case no matter what. Only a single person was able to come up with shampoo-conditioner, three-in-one kava and cotops - something like this would never have been thought of before. There are even original copies: just a few years ago, the BQ-Mobile company presented a phone with a built-in beer drinker. For the author of this material, to say the least, this is epic - I have heard about such a “mobile phone” since I was in ninth grade.

Let's connect with the telephone and love humanity especially strongly. They were consistently combined with portable computers, game consoles, music players, universal remote controls - so be it, they can be used for a long time. The result has an unconventional design all-in-one I took away my smartphone - and now I can no longer call anyone. However, smartphone manufacturers still have an unknown niche. All modern phones are equipped with camera modules - which are completely useless, almost insignificant. This very rare mobile camera produces a picture that is close to a photograph with a “digital mill” stuck through it.

Therefore, smartphones that rely on a camera module are usually considered in a special class - camera phones. Make sure the tension on the inserted camera is already in the name of the device. And if there is nothing, then it is obligatory to indicate the characteristics of the device. The look of the camera phones, as we said, is innumerable, even brighter, original, and somehow eccentric: just guess how much noise the Nokia Lumia 1020 made with its 41-megapixel camera? How many hot super glasses have been built near the dimensions of the Samsung GALAXY S4 Zoom with 10x optical proximity? It's time for Lenovo to try out a camera phone. True, it is already clear that Vibe Shot is more of a smartphone and less of a digital camera. It doesn’t have a great lens, nor does it have a lot of megapixels in its characteristics. Why did Lenovo call their new smartphone “Znimko”? Let's try to get back together.

⇡ External appearance and ergonomics

First of all, what do you want to say when it comes to the uniqueness of the Vibe Shot – it’s not about the color. The smartphone comes in three color schemes: classic white and black, and also black with a distinctive red edging. The very last version has arrived at our test laboratory, which is why we are glad - this solution looks really great.

Current Lenovo smartphones still do not have their signature, tired style - the company's designers are clearly in search of the most beautiful exterior for their devices. Similar experiments on the crystal of a bright-red edging along the entire perimeter of the body are strongly supported by us: we have taken note of any diversity in a number of similar Android smartphones, since most of them are not identical at all times w one kind of one. True, there is one nuance with this garish edging: you can’t carry a smartphone in the same bag as keys or coins every time - the stinks rub off the farb and thereby expose the metal. This is lost, and the pristine beauty of the smartphone is quickly wasted.

Your smartphone is treated with this kind of clay: it has even a small radius of rounded edges, and polished to a shine the stainless metal panels. The front panel here is notable because in its lower part there are three hardware touch keys – “Menu of hidden accessories”, “Home” and “Back”. If they are equipped with candles, then you won’t be able to press the sweethearts in the dark. At the top of the panel there is a frontal eight-megapixel camera and a slot for the rear speaker. The front panel of the smartphone is covered with hardened Corning Corilla Glass 3, which is resistant to stains and other minor damage. It has an oleophobic coating, so it’s easy to clean it with your little fingers and anything else, like a dirty one, and so it doesn’t stick to the screen.

The thickness of the smartphone’s body is small – 7.6 millimeters. This is an “honest” thing - there are no roundings to make the smartphone visually more stringent, just like there is no rounding around the camera.

The arrangement of ceramic elements and roses in the Vibe Shot is completely standard - it’s so easy to make sounds. The Micro-USB interface is located on the bottom end. The key for pressing the device is placed on the right side, just under the thumb. It contains the volume control buttons, as well as the physical button for activating the camera and releasing the shutter. This includes switching camera modes from automatic to manual and back again - this is much more advanced in smartphones.

On the left side there are two slots: one of them holds two Micro-SIM cards, and the other holds a microSD memory card. Make sure there is a loop in it so you can slip the cord through so you can carry the phone on your neck - this is also uncharacteristic for modern smartphones, and the axis of cameras is sharpened everywhere. Universal 3.5 mm jack for connecting a headset to the top end.

Lenovo designers got creative when it came to designing the back panel of the Vibe Shot. The panel itself is black, but in its upper part there is a light brown one, which houses the main 16-megapixel camera and three different-colored LEDs. The stylization under the inserted “digital compact” is very successful.

There are also a couple of shortcomings that cannot but be mentioned. First of all, the panel is covered with a dry glass, and it’s brand new. The fatty coating is not that effective. The panel quickly picks up the “fingers” and saws, which is not easy to get rid of - the pristine beauty of the device is quickly wasted. In other words, the lens of the camera must be close to the body. Therefore, if you hold your smartphone in a horizontal orientation - and take photos and videos in this position - the fingers of your left hand often appear in the frame. A very ergonomic opening for a smartphone intended for photography.
