Wexler ultima 7 Yandex navigator map set. Operating system and software

Golovna / Zakhist

The Wexler brand is far from a newcomer to the mobile device market. The assortment of devices from this device is widely available in police departments, both local and online stores.

At the moment, the company can boast of entire lines of smartphones, tablets and e-readers. Moreover, another advantageous feature of this brand is that they produce accessories for their devices.

Today we will take a look at the new 7” tablet from the Wexler brand. Ultima 7.

Between the clear screen and the nasty hardware that ensures the robot works with all the extras, looking around the device you can boast of two SIM card slots, GPS and A-GPS support, as well as miniatures due to their dimensions, it is extremely possible with such a screen diagonal.

Well, what is it really about this great, rich tablet, and how good it is in business, as well as on paper, we will try to understand during testing.

Packaging and accessories

The tablet is delivered in a medium-sized white cardboard box. On the upper part there is an image of the accessory itself. Both sides do not contain any useful information.

And the axle is at the rear, the main technical characteristics and the possibility of installing three motors are provided.

The post kit can be called standard. Before you enter:

  • Merezhevy charging device;
  • micro USB cable;
  • A short text of the Koristuvach.

As you can see, the postage set is very modest. On a daily basis, put on your headset.

External look, materials

Wexler Ultima 7 is only available in black color. The device attracts attention at first glance. The first thing that is important not to mention is the number of frames on the sides of the screen. The stench looms a small width. This is positively indicated as in appearance, and at the same time the tablet is installed. You can handle it with one hand without any problems. Another thing that is important not to mention is the shape of the body. It is also unimportant and important for smartphones and tablets. And thirdly, one of the main advantages is the placement of touch control keys. In addition to the important majority of tablet PCs, they are placed lower behind the screen.

Regardless of the number of different decorative elements and the number of heavy frames, we can say that the device looks very simple and laconic.

The tablet can also be called thin. In my opinion, it would be possible to safely place a battery with a larger capacity, and it would not have a negative impact on the appearance of the device.

Vaga along the body, evenly divided. The shape is also tailored further away. The orientation of the tablet is bookish.

At the top of the front side there was a separate front camera of 0.3 MP and a separate speaker.

The bottom one has three touch keys.

The material of the body is aluminum, which can last for a long time, as, behind its berries, suggests Soft Touch, which has a positive effect during use.

At the top of the back side there is a compartment, covered with a plastic cover, for the SIM card and memory card.

A little lower is the main chamber and the light bedroom.

The lower part has a perforated opening for the main speaker.

The vigor is selected to suit the high level. All the details are well matched one by one, all the gaps are evenly minimal. When the surface is pressed and pressed, there are all kinds of creaks and play. The back cover fits just wonderfully.

While there is a complaint about the fact that the hard keys are missing and there are no slots, there are also no complaints about them. When installed, all cords and headphones are securely fixed at their interfaces. Plays and creaks all day long. Pressing the buttons is soft, the motion is small, but the tactile feel is good. The sound of pressing is silent. There are not many creaks nearby. There is a 3.5 mm jack at the top end of the socket for connecting headphones.

On the bottom there is a micro USB port and an opening for the microphone.

On the right side there is a pressure gauge.

Left hand - up/down key.

As a matter of fact, the expansion of hard keys and connectors, as well as touch buttons, is reminiscent of their expansion on smartphones.

Screen

Wexler Ultima 7 has a 7.0" IPS touch screen with a separate 1280 x 800 pixels. With a standard pixel resolution, the images do not appear grainy at all, and it is important to measure the pixels around them.

Vikonan matrix with TFT IPS technology without stagnation of OGS technology. The light sensor, and therefore the automatic brightness control, work adequately. There are no sharp drops in the brightness level. I'll look around and look wide. With the standard value, there are no inconsistencies associated with this parameter.

The display also supports up to five points of one-hour viewing inclusive.

There is no light from the animal at the bottom of the screen. The edges of the screen are dark all day. Moreover, the display is extremely sensitive. Almost all torkannya are correctly trimmed.

For starters, let’s take a look at the brightness and contrast table.

Rarity of brightness, %

Brightness of white, cd/m2

Brightness of black, cd/m2

Contrast, x:1

The maximum level of brightness is in the middle level. The image can be depicted in the sun, but nothing more. Many big problems arise not from a lack of brightness, but from the fact that the screen is very glare. Proceed to the minimum amount of brightness, just enough. That way the screen won’t stick together in the dark. The contrast doesn't drop below 800:1, which is really bad.

The image color does not match the sRGB standard. Green colors suffer especially badly.

The color channels are completely stable and last a long time.

To be fair, there are no claims to the presentation. With standard brightness, overexposure zones are not visible.

And the axis under the corner, the colorful zsuv becomes very visible.

Hardware platform and productivity

The heart of the tablet PC is a four-core MediaTek MT8382 processor with a core frequency of 1300 MHz. So the device itself has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of permanent memory. As can be seen from the information provided, the tablet clearly does not promise high productivity, however, this hardware platform is responsible for providing more stable work with more accessories. Well, we’ll try to figure out what our testing really is during testing.

To get started, let’s give some information about the system, which shows us the CPU Z utilities:

Looking at the records, we can say that productivity can be achieved by completing most of the daily tasks. Let's talk about different types of vikoristanny report.

Navigating through the menu and making adjustments proceeds without any particular inconveniences. For the first few years after switching on, changing desktops and changing menu pages should proceed smoothly, with minor fluctuations occasionally occurring. However, after about an hour, noticeable changes and shadows begin to appear.

Internet surfing is as smooth as navigating through menus. If you don't open more than 6 - 7 tabs at a time, you won't have any problems.

It’s bad to finish everything with games. With easy and casual gaming add-ons, there are no common problems at all. A lot of important 3D add-ons can also run without any problems, albeit with minimal graphics adjustments. One problem common to many budget models is that after about a year of play, all sorts of boosts and drops in FPS begin to appear.

Wexler Ultima May 7 1 GB of RAM. About 500 MB are available for this purpose

8 GB permanent memory. These are close to 6 GB.

You can expand the amount of permanent memory using an additional micro SD memory card. Virobnik announced support for cards up to 32 GB. With a 64 GB card, you can use the tablet with confidence.

Swede shows are in the middle region.

The results of synthetic tests are entirely consistent and logical. The displays are in the middle region.

Multimedia

The tablet has a standard audio program installed. There is nothing noticeable or visible about it.

Because of the sweetness of the sound, I encourage you to go back to your diet in order.

The main speaker demonstrates a full booming sound, but the brightness of the sound is overwhelming. The spectrum of created frequencies has purely daily low and mid-low frequencies. With this sound we can go out and finish it. For some, watching movies, and for others listening to music, is not entirely comfortable.

Complete headphones for daily use. If you use third-party, high-quality headphones, the sound becomes unbearable. In this case, the device can be completely described as a player.

Before the speaker and microphone are installed, there are no common complaints. It’s not good to deal with the stench of your own work.

Replacement of the standard video programmer, the device has MX Player installed. In addition to the standard format, it is supported by a large number of different formats.

The tablet easily produces Full HD video. Everyday problems and inconveniences, for which I don’t blame.

Operating system and software

Wexler Ultima 7 runs on Android 4.4 OS. The interface has been removed without changes.

A classic work desk joins us.

And support for widgets and living trellises.

A number of additional trellises have been added.

The menu is based on the formula 5 x 7. Tobto. There are 35 add-on shortcuts on one page. Usyogo has two pages with add-ons.

... and six widgets.

There is a lot of advanced software. Basically, Yandex elements. They also include a number of reading programs, as well as office programs.

The customization menu is closed without changes.

Droneless interfaces

The tablet operates in 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G, UMTS/HSPA (900/2100 MHz).

The rhubarb will be consistently high. However, in remote and basement areas, everyday problems do not arise from these connections. The brightness of the speaker and microphone is very pleasant. To add to the gallant atmosphere the sensitivity of the garn. Spivrozmovnik also had no complaints.

If you have a WiFi adapter, then there are also no common complaints. I will accept good rhubarb. Reveal these other inconveniences every day.

The navigation module works with the GPS and A-GPS systems. The speed of the GPS module is in the middle range. The first cold start took quite a bit of an hour, close to five minutes.

Battery and autonomous robot

The tablet has a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 3000 mAg.

An hour of charging with a standard charger takes approximately 2 years, 30 hours. A USB smartphone charges a little more. Port 2.0 – 3 godini, 30 hvilin; port 3.0 – 3 years.

Below I will summarize the results of calculating the time of autonomous robots under different conditions:

  • Listening to music using headphones: 23 years
  • Listening to music without headphones: 5 years
  • Internet surfing: 5 years
  • Video review: 4.5 years
  • Rewatch video online: 4 years
  • Play: 3 years

As can be seen from the worlds, the results are in the middle level.

The synthetic battery test further confirms my words.

Camera

Wexler Ultima May 7 has two cameras on board. Front, for video calls, and main, with separate 2 MP.

As soon as it is first, there is no food available to it. She doesn’t cope well with her tasks, and there’s no need for anything else.

Mainly, it demonstrates to us even in the middle the bitterness of the notes. To tell the truth about the bright light, the fruit clearly does not have any juice content. And with weak or insufficient lighting, loud noises appear.

Below I will list a number of examples of photographs.

Example video from the main camera.

Visnovok

Well, in conclusion, I would like to say that the Wexler Ultima 7 copes with an important positive impact. Among the main advantages, we can mention a distinct, modern appearance, a metal body, attention to all parameters of the HD screen and a new set of drone-free interfaces. And if we fix the price, then we can talk about the fact that this tablet PC is one of the most important propositions in this price category.

Pros:

  • Clear HD IPS screen in all parameters;
  • Price;
  • Design and modern look;
  • Yakist selection;
  • Metal body;
  • New set of drone-free interfaces.

Disadvantages:

  • The quality of photos and videos from the main camera is average;
  • Poor delivery package.

Why eight? Because it has all the cores, and our Wexler Ultima 7 Octa tablet has all the cores. Ale is not less than that. Amazing?

Wexler Ultima 7 Octa has the same name, which does not repeat the previous models of the brand, and even earlier the tablets were called Wexler.Tab. The new model, however, comes in similar packaging with stylistic solutions.

The tablet only comes with a power supply unit, a USB cable and instructions, nothing else is included in the kit.

In addition, you can add a branded dry case-stand to the cover set.

It will be the same as before, from the outside looking in. There are no special embellishments here, the design of the decorations is in a strict style with straight lines and cutouts, in contrast to many sleek models. As a tablet, the main part of the front panel is occupied by a 7-inch diagonal screen. The display is based on IPS technology and has a separate size of 1920x1200 pixels, which is not so small for its diagonal - the picture is clear and acceptable. The only problem is that there is a lack of friction between the display and the hard glass, which is increasingly occurring.

Above the display there is a 2-megapixel camera, proximity and light sensors, as well as a speaker. The speaker is quiet and suitable for telephone calls.

Under the display, the primary touch buttons have moved away, which again makes smartphones and tablets more confusing. The buttons do not light up.

The life button is located on the left side.

Right-handed adjustment buttons.

The headset socket is standard and is located on the top edge.

The micro-USB port and microphone are located on the handle at the bottom of the tablet.

It is clear that the body is made of metal, which is why it is not only extremely rigid, but also feels comfortable in the hand. On the back panel there is a 5-megapixel camera with a double head and a single speaker, which is quite loud.

Chorna Smuha Zverhu - a cover for access to the MicroSDHC slot, and two slots for SIM cards, one Micro, the other Mini.

The processor device of our hero was manufactured by the Taiwanese from MTK - the MT6592 with eight cores with a frequency of 1.7 GHz. It’s not the most powerful processor, but it still may be a challenge to the most powerful representatives of the top line of first-echelon competitors. If you want to speed it up to 2 GHz, then the processor will be on par with chips for desktop PCs, and at the same time we can talk about the serious power of a practically gut tablet.

Tests confirm productivity. For games, the no less productive Mali-450 core has been transferred, which copes with such masterpieces as Asphalt 8, WoT, GTA 3, GTA San Andreas - as well as heavy graphics games for tablets. The tablet does not get hot and there are no problems with stability. Wexler Ultima 7 Octa is a new line of Wexler tablets, so it has 2 GB of RAM, but 16 GB is not so small.

In other cases, you can guess the presence of a 3G module, and there are no surprises here: 3G/GSM/GPRS with SIM cards that work alternately. There are no problems with connections, neither in voice mode nor in Internet access mode. The bandwidth corresponds to 3G and there is no room for storage in the device, as well as the operator, in Orlya you will find it. Additionally, there is Wi-Fi with the ability to distribute 3G Internet, with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio. In other words, access to drone-free technologies, let alone flagships, does not reach their great number of possibilities.

The software has been transferred to Android 4.4.2, the system is new, and like most similar tablets, the system is not burdened with additional programs, shells or proprietary interfaces. Such asceticism makes the tablet look similar to its competitors, but all the same, what is important is the Wexler Play program with a set of programs, and a utility that you need to ask for installation. In just a few minutes you will be more comfortable adjusting the tablet for yourself.

The camera has a 5 megapixel matrix, is equipped with autofocus and sleeper. The only thing that can be said about it is that it seems to take a bad image, but 5 MP is not the best option today. Therefore, due to the limited matrix, the combination of noise and sharpness makes the camera suitable for capturing unimportant scenes.

Videos are recorded at 1080p resolution.

The battery has a capacity of 3400 mAg, there is nothing bad to say about it:

AnTuTu took a long time to burn out its charge and still lost about 10%, and the result is small. As a result, the tablet in my hands works for about two days, 2-3 years of surfing on the Wi-Fi network, and always playing for more. With such a schedule, you only live for two days, after which you need to charge.

Visnovki

To be honest, the Wexler Ultima 7 Octa cannot be called an original device - it is just a tablet PC with Android on board, equipped with basic functionality such as GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, and a camera. However, most models of the previous generation and for 10,000 rubles receive a reception bonus in the display appearance, and not just 1920x1080, but 1920x1200, whose clarity is at a high level and is definitely acceptable above 1280x720. Considering the current economic situation, the increase in prices and productivity can be called pleasant for the rich, but still not for everyone.

We recently downloaded such a tablet from our VKontakte group, the WEXLER company brought an additional template for capturing a video for the competition. Taking a quick look at him, I realized that it was easy to hear about the new report, at a reasonable price.

External appearance, materials, ceramic elements, folding

WEXLER has a single design template for most of its tablets, its main feature being slightly rounded top and bottom ends. This small touch shows the tablet against the aphids of its competitors.

On the front side there is a seven-inch display, above it there is a front 2 MP camera, a speaker grid, as well as a light sensor, and below it there is a panel of three touch buttons: “back”, “home” and “menu”. The buttons do not have a backlight and are too large, so operating them is not very easy.

With the left hand you can press the power button, and with the right hand you can press the adjustment dial. In my opinion, the buttons do not protrude much and are easily compromised by the same Acer tablets, for example.

A microUSB port and a microphone opening were installed at the bottom, along with a 3.5 mm jack for headphones.

The back cover is made of aluminum, which is why the tablet feels cool in the hand and feels distinctly different from its competitors with a plastic case. The upper part of the cover is noticeable; underneath it there are slots for two SIM cards (microSIM and miniSIM), as well as a slot for a memory card. To remove the cover, you need to hook it into a special groove (see the photo).

The external speaker was also installed on the back, in the left lower compartment. It is worth noting that in adjustments it is possible to reduce the volume of the speaker; when the corresponding checkbox is checked, the volume increases by approximately 25-30%. In terms of sound purity, this speaker demonstrates average performance, with a slight wheeze at maximum volume.

Since the tablet is folded, I don’t have any particular complaints about the tablet, there’s play and creaks all the time.

Dimensions

In terms of size, the WEXLER ULTIMA 7 OCTA can clearly compete with compact seven-inch tablets. It has a small size and width, and there are small frames on the sides of the screen. You can easily handle it with either one or two hands.

Reproduced from Apple iPad mini 2

Screen

For a seven-inch tablet for 10,000 rubles, the WEXLER ULTIMA 7 OCTA has a great display. The high-quality IPS matrix ensures outstanding clarity of both the image and other fonts.

On the other hand, the constant presence of the anti-glare filter is negatively indicated on the secondary device. With low brightness, you lose moisture in the display, and in the sun, the information from the display becomes practically unreadable.

The photo was taken on a gloomy day, the information is not visible in the sun

Another drawback is the presence of an oleophobic coating. The finger really digs into the surface of the display, and it’s difficult to wipe off any other impurities from it.

Operating system

The device runs on Android 4.4.2, there is no information about plans to update to 5.0 yet.

Of note, I also note the ability to take a screenshot by pressing the power button for a long time, as well as a slightly modified notification curtain. Otherwise, we have standard Android 4.4 KitKat with all its pros and cons.

Productivity

It’s really sad that they didn’t save on RAM and internal memory. I especially appreciate the “16+2” combination, which is optimal for winning the majority of combinations, but in the segment up to 10,000 rubles, I increasingly save on memory in both “8+1” and “4+1” combinations. Memory cards up to 64 GB and USB-OTG are also supported.

From the perspective of everyday work on the tablet, there are no common complaints, although the working tables do not burn out smoothly, which is due to the fact that when they burn out, the trellises also scroll. In Antutu, the model did not protest (write about the impossibility of checking points), so there will be no results for this benchmark (as you know, the tablet has collected 38,000 points from someone else).

Most games run at maximum settings, however, Asphalt 8 was only able to launch at medium settings.

Autonomous robot

As you know, the battery has a negative impact on the battery capacity, so you can pay no more for one or two days of active battery life.

Droneless interfaces

As for the interfaces, everything is standard: listen to your satellites, power to MediaTek devices, support USB-OTG, Wi-Fi Direct and two SIM cards. There is only one radio module in the device, so when calling from one card another becomes inaccessible. And the axis of availability of LTE will get a little boring.

Visnovok

As long as there is a voice connection, the tablet is only suitable for occasional calls if your main phone is discharged. First of all, there is no proximity sensor, so you can simply press your cheek on the screen and send a click. Otherwise, both you and your partner have a bad sense of each other, as if the other subscriber is in the basement.

They are asking 10,000 rubles for this model. Doctors, since the end of the crisis and great (and other) brands have raised the price tags for all products, this price is completely adequate, I’ll say it’s good. I was pleased with the high-quality aluminum in the body, the clear display (matrix and separate parts), the fluidity of the robot and the dimensions. I was only confused by the lack of anti-glare filter and oleophobic coating. In fact, there is only one tablet, since LTE is not included.

There are no specific competitors, but if the presence of an oleophobic coating is critical for you, and the mobile axis is not required, then for 12,000 rubles you can get the Asus MeMO Pad ME572C.

The main feature of the new Wexler.Ultima 7 Twist tablet is the photo module, which can be used not only as the main camera, but also as the front camera. This device with a 7-inch screen is cleaner, Vesti.Hitek explained.

Among the exhibits presented by the Wexler company at the IFA 2014 exhibition in Berlin, the 7-inch Ultima 7 Twist tablet was already popular. On the right, the photomodule of this device can be rotated 180 degrees, thus providing the functions of the front and main cameras. Apparently, a camera with articulated joints is a fundamentally new element in a tablet device. Before speaking, smartphones have a photomodule with a rotating mechanism that is similar to the one in the innovative model Oppo N1 and the “reduced” version of Oppo N1 mini. So in this sense, the tablet from Wexler is very unique. In addition, the Ultima 7 Twist has a wireless speaker, a proximity sensor and SIM card slots, which allows you to operate and receive voice calls, just like on a regular smartphone. Sales of the new tablet in Russia have already begun.

Ergonomics, design

The Ultima 7 Twist ring looks very stylish, and through a small number of decorative elements it looks very laconic. Here, perhaps, the rotating photomodule is clearly visible as a sliver.

The body of the device is made of gray plastic, and the body for the rear cover, with a claim to ergonomic design, has been given preference to aluminum. The device looks much newer, although compared to the 7-inch “standard” - it’s a little thinner (9 mm versus 8.65 mm). The mass of the new tablet is not small, not small, but 277 grams. If you compare, for example, with a 7-inch (239 g), which also has the capacity of a vocal cord, it seems that the volume is great, but compared to this very “standard” (299 g), there is no need for it.

In the output position, the rotary photomodule occupies such a position that the front panel detects the edges of the “roof” speaker, as well as the proximity and brightness sensors,

and the axis, when turned 180 degrees (the hinge mechanism transfers a slightly larger angle), you will already be looking at the camera lens and the LED light. Before speaking, when turning, a gap is created between the block and the tablet body.

Part of the front panel, including the screen and visible touch buttons ("Menu", "Home", "Back") without backlighting, is covered with hardened glass.

The left edge of the apparatus is free,

and on the right side there is a dial for adjusting the volume and a unlocking/locking button.

At the top end of the body, left-handed in front of the camera's rotating block, there is a 3.5 mm jack for an audio headset.

At the bottom end there is a hole for a “stand-alone” microphone, a microUSB connector for synchronization and charging, a Reset button socket, as well as a cover for the slide-in slot for microSIM and microSD cards. In this case, the first slot serves only for subscriber identification modules, and the other can be used for either another SIM card or a memory card (microSD). In other words, possible combinations are microSIM1+microSIM2 or microSIM1+microSD. The tray lock is opened with a special tool that is included in the kit, although in practice, as a universal holder, a basic paper clip is usually used.

On the back cover, surrounded by plastic inserts, in addition to the logo and name of the device, there is also technical information, and, in addition, they have transferred the parts for the “multimedia” speaker.

It appears that the Ultima 7 Twist tablets are produced in the factories of the contractor Foxconn, which provide an advantage to the largest manufacturers of electronic technology, including such a manufacturing company as Apple. Also, the ability to collect germs is revealed at the same level. As far as ergonomics is concerned, I want the edges of the body to look neat, but the tablet should actually be placed by hand. However, it is still important to handle the 7-inch device with one hand.

Screen, camera, sound

The new tablet has a 7-inch screen with separate 1280x800 pixels WXGA (Wide eXtended Graphics Array), and 16:10 aspect ratio. With this screen size and separate size, the pixel density per inch becomes 216 dpi. This is enough to watch the video at full HD capacity (720p). However, it is important to note that the “standard” 7-inch tablets 2013 have screen parameters (1920x1200 pixels, 323 ppi) that allow you to display images in Full HD mode (1920x1080 pixels). A high-quality IPS matrix for the tablet display will provide sufficient visual clarity, excellent color transfer and picture vibrancy. And the reserve of brightness would be greater. Moreover, with bright light, the glossy screen is brighter.

The brightness level can be adjusted manually or automatically adjusted based on information from the brightness sensor. The settings also have the option of economical lighting. The touch screen responds well to gestures and touches, but recognizes up to five immediate pressures. The results of the AnTuTu Tester and MultiTouch Tester programs fully confirm such multitouch. As stated, the entire screen is covered with hardened glass, which, like the speaker, protects the surface of the display from debris and other mechanical damage. Before speaking, you can easily remove your fingers from the screen.

If you want to get the most out of your tablet by replacing two cameras with one, the technical parameters don’t matter at all. The rotating photo module has eliminated the 5-megapixel matrix, which is better because the lens has autofocus. Also, it’s not possible to look for miracles when borrowing money. Even for such an innovative solution it would have been possible to go even more seriously. The maximum separate image size is 2560x1920 pixels with a 4:3 aspect ratio. However, for “yourself,” such detail is completely sufficient, and you’d hardly imagine using a tablet for an artistic photo.

The hinge mechanism allows you to fix the rotating block not only in the extreme positions, but also in the middle positions, so that without lifting your head, you can photograph the frame. Or take photographs of those who are away, placing the tablet horizontally with the photo module forward. Apparently, the tablet successfully transmits video communications to the robot.

The interface of the Camera program is well known and intuitive. Virobnik especially emphasizes the visibility of the face recognition function, as well as the ability to create HDR and panoramic photographs. However, with the 5-MP matrix in place, it is more sufficient to use the standard mode, and there is no control over the switching speed of the switch. The interface, before speech, conveys “fine” adjustments, including three-step adjustment of sharpness, tint and saturation, as well as exposure level. You can manually set the white balance.

The VMIX Camera Video in TROOKh modes of the Yakіstyu "Zapoka" (1280x720 Pikkseliv, 16: 9), "Good" (1920x1080 Pikkseliv, 16: 9) I "Srednev" (640x480 Pixeliv, 4: 3). The stars are shining that not everything is “highly” better than “good”. In this case, the results are stored in container files in MP4 format (AVC - video, AAC - audio).

Adjustments can also be determined by the selected scene ("Auto", "Night", Sunset", "Evening", etc.).In addition, the selected images can be differentiated by applying different filters to them ("Monochrome ", "Sepia "), "Negative" etc.).

The Ultima 7 Twist has only one “multimedia” speaker, the sound quality is far from ideal. This level of maximum thickness is very small. In this case, we recommend listening to music through external acoustic systems or headphones. In this case, it is important to note that, regardless of the presence of an FM tuner, simple headphones, as necessary as a short-haired antenna, are not included with the tablet.

Filling, productivity

Under the hood, the Ultima 7 Twist has a budget platform for tablets from Mediatek - MT8382, which includes a 4-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor with a clock frequency of 1.3 GHz.

The acceleration functions are now placed on the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor, two of which operate at a frequency of 500 MHz. In addition, the new tablet comes with one gigabyte of RAM.

In synthetic tests of AnTuTu Benchmark version 5.6 for Ultima 7 Twist, a total of 16,645 “virtual parrots” were observed. As a result, the tablet has sacrificed itself to the smartphone, which is now gaining over 23 thousand “virtual birds.”

In the processor (Metal) and multi-core (Multicore) tests of the Vellamo benchmarks, the tablet was tested for results and again found itself in the company of old top-end smartphones, this time between the flagship 2012 Samsung Galaxy S III and the “standard” of the same release.

In the Epic Citadel gaming test, which tested the Unreal Engine, only two adjustments were available for the Mediatek MT8382 platform - High Quality and High Performance (for both productivity and harm). On the one hand, the results were not impressive at all - 39.9 fps and 38.4 fps, and on the other hand, it is important to say that the greatest brilliance that is implemented may not jeopardize productivity.

The tablet performed modestly on the 3DMark universal gaming test, where Ice Storm Extreme was recommended (result of 2004 points). Tim is no less, in practice, Ultima 7 Twist copes well with 3D games, for example, with the shooter Dead Trigger 2 and racing Asphalt 8: On Earth.

I was seriously embarrassed by the small amount of stored memory on the tablet: from the claims, 8 GB, which in itself is not that much, only 5.96 GB, but certainly, obviously, even less (about 5.1 GB). To save the firmware update file, which was transmitted “over the air” (OTA function), you had to install a memory card. There’s not much to say about 3D games. Fortunately, the memory card slot supports microSD/HC type devices with a capacity of up to 32 GB. The OTG function, unfortunately, does not allow you to connect, for example, flash drives via the USB interface.

The tablet has a 2G/3G mobile phone module installed, which provides support for two microSIM cards with one radio channel. To ensure easy voice communication, the front panel of the case is equipped with a “disabled” speaker and a proximity sensor. Among wireless communications, in addition to wireless communication, the tablet supports Wi-Fi b/g/n (one frequency range 2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.0.

When you use a GPS receiver in a closed location, you can easily find a number of satellites that can be used to properly move the tablet. Obviously, there is also A-GPS support if navigation is carried out using satellite and Wi-Fi networks.

The capacity of the lithium polymer battery of the Ultima 7 Twist is low and is less than 2600 mA*year (3.7 V, 9.6 W*year). This is far from being the best display among the “classmate” tablets. So, for example, the same 7-inch “standard” Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a battery capacity of 3950 mA * year.

It’s not surprising that the new tablet earned more than 3,107 points in the AnTuTu Tester 2.5 battery tests. The test set of videos in MP4 format and HD quality (720p) played continuously at full speed for about 3.5 years. In this case, there are no special modes for energy saving in the tablet. However, if you don’t binge on games and watching videos, you can drain the battery for a whole day.

Software security

The Ultima 7 Twist tablet has the latest version of the Android operating system installed, although it has been verified on most devices, Android 4.4.2.

Here, the native interface is preserved without an additional shell, so there is enough hardware to ensure the smoothness of its operation.

There are a number of cool programs installed on the tablet, including Kingsoft Office, Navitel navigator, MX Player video player, ivi.ru cinema, Ozon.ru online store client, etc. And the company's Wexler.Play program makes it easier to search for recommended and popular software from Google Play.

Purchases, purchases

The main feature of the Wexler.Ultima 7 Twist tablet is, of course, the rotating photo module, which frames the main and front camera. For this part of the novelty, there are probably no competitors at all. Another “rodzinka” of a 7-inch tablet, whose screen size is a little larger than today’s phablets, has a voice support, like a basic smartphone. Your handiness is ensured by a “lightweight” speaker and proximity sensor. You should also note the possibility of one-hour installation of two SIM cards, which allows you, for example, to choose the lowest tariff.

Well, there are a few things to worry about, then, regardless of the novelty of the solution with a hinge mechanism, the parameters of the camera itself are very weak. In addition, another SIM card includes a dead memory card, so they share the same place in the slot. Please also note that the tablet does not have the latest version of Android installed, so it is unlikely to be installed.

The average price for Wexler.Ultima 7 Twist according to Yandex.Market data is currently 7,900 rubles. Between this sum, you can, of course, pick up a 7-inch tablet, pair it with a voice link and two SIM cards (for example, the same Wexler.Ultima 7), but with a rotating photomodule you will no longer be able to find such a device.
