At this point, the idea of transferring the “installer” to another nose arose in my head and stopped lingering there. The last time she spilled the beans after knocking on my door, having inappropriately installed the Windows 7 operating system on her newly acquired netbook. Naturally, I waited to help him, but if at the same time the cheerful susid ran for the richly suffering “beech” and, of course, a couple of drinks of beer (Friday evening, anyway), I, having taken this drink into my hands, guessed what it was like and devices with optical drives not equipped .
However, to get out of this situation, you just need to connect the external drive, and the problem is solved. However, neither I nor my lucky owner had a netbook with such a device, and I’m also not too afraid to go to work to get this unit. As a result, my thought came to the only correct thought for this situation. You need to create a flash drive! I’ll say right away, not without some pain, but it was decided that I wanted to make life easier for other sufferers, and I decided to write this small little instruction.

Tools and equipment
What do we need before the hour of our call? First of all, we have the installation disk with one of the OS symbols, or, even more simply, their image in ISO format. A flash drive requires at least four gigabytes, so the size of the distribution kit for the remaining versions of operating systems from Microsoft may not be modest in size. Well, of course, you can’t do without a working computer with Windows 7 or Vista. Doctors, there are three variations of the created flash drive, in different cases we need different software products. I’ll look at them side by side:
Option 1: the simplest. Here you will also need the UltraISO program, which can be found at the address http://www.ezbsystems.com/dl1.php?file=uiso9_pe.exe. Regardless of the fact that it is paid, for our purposes the trial version will be sufficient, and we happily download it.
Option 2: foldable. Here you need eyes, head and hands, as well as a simple 7-zip archiver that you can use for this task. If you want, you can do without the 7-zip program and get everything done using Windows. A lot of koristuvachs, especially those who are not deep enough, may suffer from inconsistency. I want the old fighters, who still love to lie down to the command line, to find this option easier, and more straightforward – through the absence of the need to use third-party security programs.
Option 3: Use a Microsoft utility designed for creating flash drives from a copy of Windows. This option is simple to the point of incongruity, but there is one peculiarity - the BIOS of the motherboard does not recognize the installer on the storage device, created using this additional utility.

Option 1. You don’t need any specially folding bags at all times. It's simple. Launch the downloaded and installed UltraISO program, with a trial period included. This functionality will give us the benefit of the doubt.
First of all, you need to specify the program to extract the image of the operating system in the .iso format, for which you click “File > Open”, or use the hot keys “Ctrl + O”. It’s very important here that it’s an image, not an optical disk. And since you only have the rest, before starting the work you will have to remove this image, using all the options in UltraISO (“Tools > Create CD image”), or using one of the numerous utilities, for example Alcohol 120%.
Well, we have an image of Windows, and we are already interested in our program. We begin to create the installed flash drive, so that until this moment it can already take its place in the USB port. Now go to the menu “Self-imaging > Burn hard disk image”.
In the window, in the “Disc Drive” field, select your storage device for the location of the Windows installer, and click on the “Format” button. Naturally, at the moment, there is no need to have any important data on your flash drive, because all of it will be lost when formatted. Format formatting is completed quickly, then in this item, uncheck the box, and change the file system type axis to NTFS, and click on the “Start” button.
After a few seconds, formatting will be completed and by clicking “ok”, you will again go to the UltraISO menu, where you will need to click the “Record” button. After confirming a lot that you really want to earn what you want, behind the additional button with the word “Yes”, all you have to do is to finish creating the flash drive with the Windows installer you need, again We prepare the food before work.
Option 2. This option is more complicated because Windows has the DiskPart utility, which we use, does not have an interface and only works from the command line. However, for beginners, it won’t be difficult to do everything following these instructions.
Let’s finish preparing the flash drive. The process begins by launching the command line. You can do this either by clicking “Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Row”, or by clicking on the “Viscont” menu for the additional combination “Win+R” and writing “cmd” there, and pressing Enter. Now enter the commands sequentially, without forgetting to press the same Enter after each one. Enter only those shown in italics, slash and those following it, no need to write!

Once formatting is complete, you must enter the drive letter. There are two options here: either set fixed values using the command
assign letter=z/ where Z can be used, whether otherwise, by hard drives or optical storage devices, the letter of the Latin alphabet. Otherwise, you will deprive the letter of recognition to the discretion of the operating system. In the remaining configuration, simply enter the assign command.
At this point, the accumulator’s preparation is completed. Enter the command:
exit/ to exit the Disk part utility, since we don’t need anything else from it.
At this stage, after we have prepared our flash drive, we have two options for continuing the development of the project, so that the Windows distribution kit and the vanguard sector can be transferred to it. The first option is simple and straightforward, but it is obvious that you have a 7-zip archiver installed and a disk image in the .iso format, since this trick will not work with the optical disk. Also, in order to transfer everything you need to your storage device, you just need to right-click on the disk image file, go to the 7-zip menu, and select the “Extract files” item, and as the place where you will unpack the archives, enter your flash drive. After the unpacking process is completed, you can remove the flash drive from the connector and follow the instructions.
However, it is a folding road, which requires turning to the command line. I’ve already described how to get there, but I won’t repeat it, and I’ll go straight to the commands that need to be done quickly. Before doing this, do not forget to insert the disk from the Windows installer into the drive, or mount the image into the virtual drive. It remembers what files you have assigned to the drive from the Windows disk and the flash drive to which you want to transfer the installer, and the process begins. First of all, let’s transfer the desired sector from the disk to the flash drive by entering the following commands, replacing X with the letter of your drive, and Y with the letter of your flash drive:

After completing the procedure, close the command row, which is all that’s left. That's it, all you have to do is copy all the files from the disk to a flash drive and you're ready. Reinstalling Windows is an extremely important and necessary process. In one case, you can upgrade your old system to a new one, or switch to any other modification. On the other hand, you have made some mistakes while working, you may have corrupted the system files or deleted any program that the normal operating system uses, you also need to reinstall Windows.

- A flash drive with a capacity of at least 8 GB. This size itself is optimal for the Windows 7 image, to fit into the “spirited” images.
