This power block itself has a number of shortcomings: it is strong until awakening, can tolerate a high level of heavy noise, is easily overwhelmed by heavy signals in the MB range, and is often overwhelmed by lightning discharges. These problems are known to many owners of such antennas.

The power operation of SWA antenna boosters and similar edges is poorly covered in the literature. You can only mean publication, where the re-intensification of power by MB signals is indicated. The owners of antennas have to deal with the shortcomings in a familiar way: replacing the boosters, choosing the best one. However, this method requires a lot of strength, and requires a lot of support, which is usually very accessible - to be pulled out at once with the antenna on a high ground.

Based on the analysis of circuit design, complete evidence and materials from ANPREL, we provide an informed approach to the selection of boosters, as well as a repair method that allows you to update the defective unit , and in a number of drops and populate your parameters.

The market for replacements of non-interchangeable models of antenna boosters produced by ANPREL, TELTAD and others under different brands and numbers. Regardless of such diversity, most of them are collected behind a standard circuit and with a double-stage aperiodic boost on bipolar low-frequency transistors connected behind the OE circuit. To confirm this, we will look at models from different companies: a simple booster SWA-36 from TELTAD, the principle diagram of which is shown in Fig. 1, and extensions of the booster SWA-49 (analogous to SWA-9) from ANPREL - Fig. 2.

The SWA-36 booster contains two wide-angle power stages on transistors VT1 and VT2. The signal from the antenna goes through a narrow transformer (not shown on the diagram) and capacitor C1 to the base of transistor VT1, connected behind the OE circuit. The operating point of the transistor is set by the voltage, which is indicated by resistor R1. In this case, the negative feedback loop (OCC) directly linearizes the characteristic of the first cascade, stabilizes the position of the operating point, and changes its strengthening. Frequency correction in the first cascade is daily.

Another cascade of connections on the transistor behind the circuit with OE and OOS behind the voltage through resistors R2 and R3, and also Strum OOS through resistor R4 in the emitter circuit, rigidly stabilizes the mode of transistor VT2. To eliminate the high loss of amplification, resistor R4 is shunted across the exchangeable circuit by capacitor SZ, the capacitance of which is designed to be extremely small (10 pF). As a result, at the lower frequencies in the range, the amnesic support of the capacitor SZ appears to be adequate and the OOS of the alternating stream changes intensification, thereby corriging the frequency response of the booster itself.

Up to a small amount of booster SWA-36, you can add passive losses to the output voltage on resistors R5, which is switched on so that both the constant voltage and the signal voltage drop.

The SWA-49 booster (Fig. 2) is similar, which also has two cascades, assembled behind the OE circuit. Similar circuitry is used in most other SWA boosters (for example, the SWA-3 booster circuit is shown in). Minor differences are most often found in another cascade, which can provide different levels of frequency correction, varying the depth of feedback and, therefore, the amplification factor. In some models, for example SWA-7, the first and other cascades are connected directly to the base transistor VT2. This allows the cascade to flow through an OOS loop through a steady stream and thereby improve the thermal stability of the booster.

Cascades on transistors connected behind the OE circuit have the greatest inflow of internal connections and transistor junction capacities. It manifests itself in the limited intensity of transmission and the strength of the stimulus to self-awakening, the reliability of which is greater than the greater coefficient of strength. For this assessment, we need to understand the stability threshold - the limit value of the amplification factor, when any power is transferred, it turns into a generator. Most SWA antennas operate at high strengths beyond the resistance threshold, which explains their frequent self-excitation.

To increase the resistance of the power supply, the ANPREL company creates a different topology of other circuit boards (which fits into the installation space), the surface and volume of the coil, chokes, etc. . With an unchanged circuit for switching on transistors with OE-OE, the company is free to release regulating life blocks to solve stability problems. Changes in your voltage allow you to put in self-awakening power to save enough power.

The main parameters (noise coefficient Ksh and power coefficient K) of the basic models of SWA boosters according to the ANPREL catalog are shown in the table. 1.

Let's take a look at the interconnections of the main parameters with the circuitry of the boosters and their flow into the receiver voltage.

Apparently, the amplification factor at high frequencies in OE cascades is critical to the parameters of the transistors that are being adjusted, especially to the cutoff frequency frp. The SWA boosters have bipolar low-frequency transistors of the p-p-p structure, marked as T-67, and up to 415, which means the maximum achievable gain coefficient Ku of the double-stage booster is about 40 dB. Obviously, in such a wide operating mixture of frequencies, the amplification factor is not deprived of a constant one - its changes reach 10...15 dB due to the unevenness of the frequency response at the highest frequencies in the range and correction at the bottom sneeze At maximum values ​​of the boost factor, it is important to ensure the stability of the boosters; a number of models have values ​​up to 10...30 dB, which is often completely sufficient (div. Table 1).

If you think broadly, it should be noted that the amplification factor cannot be influenced by the head parameter of the antenna booster. Even though the televisions themselves have a great supply of power, they also have a high sensitivity, surrounded by power. Their greatest sensitivity is surrounded by synchronization. I find, at the bottom – sensitivity, surrounded by noise. Therefore, the official, the initial long-distance reception, is to accept the level of high-volume noise in the electronic path, and this is not a factor of amplification. In other words, the reduction in the ability to receive the first word occurs through the influx of noise transcodes, and not through a lack of signal strength.

The influx of noise is assessed by the signal-to-noise ratio, the minimum value of which is accepted to be 20. In this case, they indicate sensitivity, surrounded by noise, which is similar to the voltage of the input signal, 20 times greater than the voltage of noise.

For third- to fifth-generation TVs, sensitivity, surrounded by noise, reaches 50...100 µV. However, even if the signal/noise level is higher than 20, the image clarity and detail of only great details are reduced. To capture the image of a burnt-out signal, the red signal is approximately 5 times larger at the input of the TV, in order to ensure a signal-to-noise ratio of approximately 100.

The antenna booster is responsible for increasing the signal-to-noise ratio, and for this purpose it is necessary to enhance the signal rather than the noise. However, any electronic booster will inevitably generate noise, which will interfere with the original signal and absorb the signal/noise ratio. Therefore, the most important parameter of the antenna booster is its noise coefficient Ksh. If the signal is not small enough, the coefficient gain is increased slightly, and both the signal and the noise are increased, however, and the result is not improved. As a result, if the signal at the antenna input of the TV is sufficiently equal, the images will be affected by intense noise distortion (the familiar “snow”).

For a unified assessment of the noise of a multi-cascade tract, we use the indicator of the noise coefficient Ksh induced at the input, which is equal to the noise at the output, divided by the external amplification factor, so that Ksh = Ksh.vih/K. So, since the output noise level of the outputs is greater than the noise level of the first transistor, which is present in all subsequent cascades, the noise of other cascades can be extracted. Todi Ksh.out = Ksh1Ku, de Ksh, is the noise coefficient of the first transistor. Therefore, we reject Ksh = Ksh1, i.e., the induction coefficient for the noise of the subsiluvial tract lies in the number of cascades and the primary coefficient of amplification, and the corresponding coefficient for the noise of the first transistor.

This brings up an important practical point - the use of the antenna booster can give a positive result if the noise ratio of the first booster transistor is less than the noise ratio of the first stage of the TV. The fifth-generation TV channel selectors have a KP327A field-effect transistor with a noise coefficient of 4.5 dB at a frequency of 800 MHz [Z]. From the above it is clear that the choice of antenna booster based on the principle - the greater the strength coefficient, or in short - is incorrect. Moreover, many rulers, changing forces, cannot achieve a good result. The reason for this seemingly paradoxical fact lies in the fact that the noise coefficient is, as a rule, unknown (it is not found in the sales information of companies), but in reality it is less than a little different in rich models with different powers (div. Table 1). ). A higher amplification factor with a constant noise ratio does not allow for a gain in signal/noise and, therefore, an increase in the quality of the reception. Rare success can only be achieved if the low-noise booster is gradually carried out.

Also, when choosing an antenna booster, you must first focus on the minimum level of noise. You can really pay a premium for Ksh<2 дБ. Therefore, in order to correctly select the amplification factor, it is necessary to know the signal attenuation in the given path. And it doesn’t matter how important it is to unravel these orients.

The signal attenuation in the wide cable brand RK-75-4-11 is 0.07 dB/m on the first-fifth, 0.13 dB/m on the sixth-twelfth and 0.25...0.37 dB/ m on TV channels 21-60. With a feeder increase of 50 m, the attenuation on 21-60 channels is 12.5 ... 17.5 dB. Repair of booster antennas mainly involves replacing active elements damaged by lightning discharges. It should be noted that the presence of a diode at the input in some models does not guarantee complete protection from the spark: with a strong atmospheric discharge, both a dry diode breaks through and, as a rule, damages the transistor.

The SWA power antennas are assembled using the technology of automatic surface assembly on microelements, which requires care during repairs. Solder the trace using a small-sized soldering iron with a highly sharpened tip. In a booster that does not work, be careful not to damage the thin conductors, connect microtransistors VT1, VT2 and the dry diode (as it is).

The main parameters of the external transistors required for installing the SWA booster are shown in table. 2 [Z]. Low-noise low-frequency transistors of the 2T3124, KT3132 series are expensive and low-current, so it is better to install them only in the first stage, and in the other case, the cheaper and tighter transistors KT391A-2, KT3101A-2 (div. table. 2) and enter the table. , KT382, KT399 and others with a cutoff frequency of close to 2 GHz [Z]. However, in the remaining case there will be a slightly smaller gain coefficient at the upper frequencies of the range.

The dimensions of the housing of imported microtransistors will increase to 1.2 x 2.8 mm with an increase of 1 ... 1.5 mm. There are also connections on the board between the other mounts for connecting small transistors. Installing hard transistors with a housing diameter of 2 mm from the side of surface mounting, although possible, is not twisted: when soldering them, they can be damaged. New transistors can be easily installed from the side of the board, having drilled the front openings for leads with a drilled diameter of 0.5...0.8 mm. It is better to drill not into the conductor itself, but so that it opens to the edge of the maidan. If there is a ball of foil on the side opposite to the surface mounting, then open a hole in the new slot with a drill diameter of 2...2.5 mm (the opening is for removing the emitter of transistor VT1).

Then new transistors are installed so that the crystal trimmer or the housing is attached to the torquing plate. As the pins significantly protrude from the other side, after soldering they are slightly sweet. Low-frequency transistors are sensitive to static electricity, so when working, you need to ensure that there are no inputs to the protection. Hour of singing - a little more than 3 z [Z].

The dry diode does not need to be installed. The best protection for atmospheric electricity is to use a grounded antenna.

In the SWA modules, the transistors operate with a 10...12 mA collector circuit. After replacing such a string is acceptable for another transistor (for example, KT3101A-2), it remains permanently acceptable for the first one, if transistors of the KT3115, KT3124 and KT3132A-2 series are installed (div. Table 2). The collector circuit is located under the h21e parameter, which is where the transistors produce a significant distribution. Therefore, after installing a specific instance, it is necessary to install the operating point of transistor VT1. For this purpose, microresistor R1 is used and instead of this, an adjusting resistor (SPZ-23, SPZ-27, etc.) is connected with a support of 68 ... 100 kOhm. Before increasing the motor voltage, the resistor must be placed in the maximum support position so as not to damage the transistor.

A voltage of 12 is supplied to the booster through the life block 8 and the voltage drop across resistor R2 is observed (div. Fig. 1 and 2). Having divided the voltage to the support of resistor R2, the collector string is detected. The regulating support of the tuning resistor at b_k is changed to reach the collector flow of about 5 mA, which indicates a minimum of noise behind the characteristics of the transistors [Z]. At this point, the adjustment is completed and instead of the tuning resistor, a constant one of the same support (MLT-0.125 or imported) is soldered in, first shorting it to the minimum of its connection.

After this, cover the wooden board and unpackaged transistors with a ball of radio-technical varnish or compound. The external appearance of the updated booster SWA-36 is shown in Fig. 3. The new vikoristan has transistors (Fig. 3, a) 2T3124B-2 (VT1) and KT3101A-2 (VT2). In connection with the simplest design of the booster, self-excitation is eliminated: a ferite microcircuit is placed on the output of the collector of transistor VT1 (which is installed at the channel selectors of SK-M TVs ZUSTs T ta 4USTST). The collector string of transistor VT1 is set by resistor R1 (Fig. 3.6) with a nominal value of 51 kΩ (it was 33 kΩ).

In another cascade, transistors of the KT372, KT399 series were tested, which preserved stability and a sufficient enhancement factor. In this case, the possibility of installing an additional capacitor Z with a capacity of 150 pF was verified (Fig. 3.6), which shunts resistor R5 (div. Fig. 1), to increase the amplification factor. When a self-excitation capacitor is installed, the power supply voltage is reduced.

In the main version (with transistors 2T3124B-2 and KT3101A-2), the booster ensures repair, even before repair, as it is visually assessed approximately with the new booster SWA-9.
