It's the same, just a little simpler. You can select a point on the map of the place, set a specific radius for it, and program notifications. If you touch something near the boundary of a stake with a designated radius, you will be notified and the point will be visible. The following is the plan: we will first create a simple web add-on, check it in the browser, and then transfer it using PhoneGap to the iOS platform. It is important to write the main part of the code in the prototype and test it in a browser on your computer, so that you can develop a much more complex program on your phone. We use the jQuery JS framework from jQuery Mobile (jquerymobile.com) as the framework, and Google Maps v3 as the map engine. The program consists of two sides: a map and a list of points.

Launching web programs

As I have already said, development mainly needs to be done on a computer. The best browser for testing web add-ons on a computer is Safari or Chrome. After getting comfortable in these browsers, you may worry that your program will not work in the browser of your mobile phone. These browsers are similar to most mobile web browsers, although they are also powered by the WebKit engine. After fixing all the bugs, you can proceed to launching the mobile web application directly on your phone. For this purpose, set up your web server (check Denwer or XAMPP) so that you enter the created page and open it in your mobile phone browser. The program may look approximately as shown on the baby. It is important to understand that the upcoming mobile program, compiled for a mobile platform using PhoneGap, will look much the same, except for the fact that the browser navigation panel is not displayed on the screen. Preparation

In order to download the program for iOS, you will need a computer with the operating system Mac OS 10.6+ (or a virtual machine on Mac OS 10.6), as well as the core of Xcode development with the installation of the iOS SDK. If you don't have the SDK installed, you can download a disk image from the Apple website that includes the Xcode and iOS SDK (developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action). In the project menu, open Supporting Files/PhoneGap.plist, find the ExternalHosts item and add the next host to which our program will be deployed (this is the Google Maps server): *.gstatic.com, *.googleapis.com, maps.google. com. If they are not entered, the program will appear in advance in the console, and the map will not appear. To initialize the web version, our programs used the DOMReady method or the jQuery helper: $(document).ready(). PhoneGap generates the term deviceready, which means that the mobile device is ready.
